Because BMW ISTA-P Loader V6.2 Lite (Rev1) is made for 62.1.003
Not correct. I checked on loaders 6.1.1, 6.2.0 & 6.2.1 with my correction of xml file, and all work fine. My systems is Win10 x64 build 1607 & 1703.
My solutions is for standalone

Is your correction of the xml file to do as I did and change from 3.62.1.003 to 62.1.003? Maybe this could be changed in the download to prevent people having the same issues.

Very strange, i've tried it on 3 different pc's, windows 10 and 7 and it shows the access denied error without out the modification, after changing it, it works fine.
PS. I have only tried 6.1.1 loader

As always any editing of files will break updates unless backup is restored.
Loader V6.2 Lite (Rev1) will work for all versions without any modifications needed so best to use that.

Cheers, is there any downsides to using the older ista loader with icom emulation with the applicationconfig.xml edited to make itnwork? It does seem tonfubction okay after the modification.
