Trouble!
So I gave this a go with datens version 63 on a 2010 E90 LCI.
Using an icom clone, programming failed, got a second icom and flashed 63 to the end. CIC Screen stays black after 63 flash and attempts to flash 62 gives an error.
Error 211 Error on flash programming.
CCC Host programming status not ok.
I think the unit is not accepting the firmware? Or is it a compatibility issue? Or is it just stuck in programming mode? Am stuck! Going to try look for 2012 datens to see if i can find the original zusb no and try recover. Any ideas?

Well, got two steps ahead. CIC and CID flashed successfully. Gateway hanged up in most setting, reflashing via obd setting. Will report back.

Perfectly
So I flashed the unit with version v41 as per the instructions shared earlier. System stayed dead though green in ISTA. Essentially it did not boot.
Made desperate call on @Jeroenbmw to save my skin. I knew he had the magic and he did the magic with tool32 first to reset CIC to factory settings, don't ask me how
He then reflashed with winkfp in comfort mode 63,62,A0 and the system came back to life. Software was updraded from CIC.08 to CIC.1A. Just amazing!!
Am still trying to convince him to tell me how AIF is set to factory.

How to reset CIC to factory settings?
I have the same problem with my cic.
CIC is blue in ista, it is responding etc...

I tried to program with comfort mode with ece and asia ZSUB, and again error 211.

We resolved by using expert mode and flashed it with Asian ZUSB. Now that we have a working set of expert mode files for 63,62 ans A0, LogiHus can attempt expert mode Europe ZUSB flashing....as recovery is now assured

Well, we are now expert at this. I think we can flash with ANY ZUSB. After three days with LogiHus we did it. ZUSB of his choice in a Japanese CIC. Took me 4 tries and with each try a better understanding how winkfp does this thing and how each file relathes to hardware, program, data file and most importantly BOOTSECTOR. with the wrong bootsector file to hardware combination you are headed for the kiln!!

Big thanks to willisodhiambo, he did great job.
My cic is now alive. He teach me a lot.
But i have 2 issues with it.
I dont have any fsc on it. I script activated it.
I cant extract 1b.hex.
When i put USB with europe premium maps 2018-2, nothing happens.
The navigation say "To start the navigation, please insert the map DVD".
