Hello,
Car is E91 year 2009.
I had secondhand EPS unit fited to the car.
So far I tried to change VIN in EPS with FVDI, but that only change half of the VIN number not the complete one.
Owner wants to get VIN fixed as he can't reprogram the car with ISTA-P becuase of wrong VIN number in EPS unit.
Would flashing with Winkpf solve the problem ?
Should I make a backup of the coding ?
Has EPS for that year any special protection like FSC code ?

EPS for E90 need FSC enabling code to work ..
You can't do this without FSC.

You need to change the vin with tool32. FSC is not needed for EPS unless you want to activate servotronic. If you want to servotronic pls don't update nothing with ista p.

It's only necessary if you want to have servotronic activated and also if your car is built after 09/2009 if before then FSC is not needed even for Servotronic.

Would changing with tool32 change both VIN numbers (the short version and the long one) ?
I am asking as AVID only change the short one.

Tool32 I believe will change the short VIN only, but it is used for check in most of the modules. For the long VIN you need to use WinKFP.

Done both jobs c_fg_schreiben and c_fg_auftrag with correct checksum from ncsexpert but of couse that doesn't effect the UIF.
for that as I understand aif_lesen and aif_schreiben is used. But I can't find the aif_schreiben in ESP_90.prg.
With winkpf (using sp_daten V56 ) I got error as on picture.

If you tried to program EPS with AVDI this may cause the error. AVDI is having problems with the flash signature.
