I am not sure I understand the question, but I will try to guess..
The Lexia and PP2000 updates v8.50, are genuine updates of DiagBox 8.50. and It will work with 8.17, if updated to 8.35/7 --> 8.38 -_> 8.42 --> 8.46 --> 8.47 --- 8.50 etc..
However, new cars that are included in DiagBox beyond v8.17 will not show, because DiagBox is not updated.
Any way, this is the only solution available at this time..

You have mentioned that you followed the installation process, I do't know if this is related to other applications installed on the computer or something to do with fire wall.. etc...
I would advise that you review your installation process and compare it to video.

This is one of the worst, useless tutorials on this site. Flatly refuses to install on XP, hangs on installing PATCH. If you try and continue activation (it looks like nothing in the video BTW), fails with error. Tried several times, even with a clean XP install, same result. Pain in the ass to try and remove everything it tried to install. Been through every folder trying to clean up, still steals 1.5gb of space for every failed install attempt.

try to use your brain... many people did succeed in installing this

Hi Simple, have you ever had problem like this one ?
I did install 7.01, then updated it to 7.02, restarted pc, installed 7.xx to 7.57, updated diagbox to that version, restarted PC once again, used kill diagbox tasks, changes folder to AwRoot7 and tried to install v8.01 and im stuck, could you help me please ?

I will do my best once home (this evening).
The message indicates that the file is corrupt, try downloading DiagBox 8.01 again. However, it may also be corruption on the hard disk or a system language issue.
In the mean time, ensure you have enough hard disk space and run (from an Administrator CMD):
C:\WINDOWS\system32>SFC /SCANNOW
and
C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /b /f /v /scan c:
