Depending on DME version this code is either "Clutch switch, signal" or "Fuel supply control valve". Based on symptoms its probably the second one.

Sorry should have said it has come up with fuel control valve any idears what fault could be, if we unplug the valve on thye high pressure fuel pumnp we get that same code. Trouble is the car is running again ok with no codes stored

I would also guess those nitrogen oxide sensors could be a secondary faults due to rail pressure being wrong.

Well, probably valve could be failing electrically or jamming mechanically. If by disconnecting the valve you get the same error, then it means it checks for electrical properties of it. Please find someone with proper BMW diagnostic tools, there would be more info on that error like if its shorted or open or whatever.
