Problem with ICOM A2 D-CAN - mik325tds - 22-04-2016

I purchased a China ICOM A2 and have problems getting a connection to my E90 through D-CAN. The ICOM works well with K-Line on my E53. It came with the newest Firmware 01-40-05. I tried ITool Radar and EasyConnect and the connection to the ICOM is fine. I can lock it and get the Battery voltage indication in EasyConnect.
Tracing the D-CAN connection only shows a constant 0x130 message that is coming from the car - nothing from the ICOM.
Any suggestions?

Use Paypal money back guarantee and return the faulty icom.

Yeah, looks like a broken CAN doesn't it? The Ebay seller already agreed to an exchange or refund.
A friend mentioned that some of the China ICOMs have cold solder joints but I couldn't find anything related to the CAN lines so far + my box is sealed with stickers. Waiting for Ebay seller permission to open up the box before sending it back.

Update: Got permission from the seller to open it up and was able to trace back the CAN connections to the CAN driver chip VP234. All solder joints look okay but there's simply no CAN traffic generated by the ICOM. It's going back for exchange today.
