ISTA-P D-Can => ICOM Emulator connection problem - MartinB - 03-05-2016 Hey, i tried to figure out how to connect to my car (E-Series e93) using ISTA-P and the D-Can->Icom emulator which is present in BMW ISTA-P Loader V4.6.exe however whenever i try to connect to it its stuck while trying to detect the VIN. A small ediabas icon turns red in my taskbar which indicates an error i guess ? So is this some sort of issue with the emulator not using the right com port or am i doing sth else wrong. The only thread that wouldve solved my issues seems to be deleted. ISTA-D in Ediabas mode works just fine. ISTA-P Version 3.58.0.500 Kind regards Martin RE: ISTA-P D-Can => ICOM Emulator connection problem - ProUniverse - 03-05-2016 Hello Martin, Try this: - start ISTA Loader 4.6 - CLICK "Start ICOM Emulator" - wait a Moment - go to the ediabas.ini and set TCP IP to 169.254.0.1 - save ediabas.ini - start ISTA-p and connect to your Car That needs to be repeated at each start! This works fine for me and is the only way to connect to my Car. I hope I could help best regards Martin RE: ISTA-P D-Can => ICOM Emulator connection problem - MartinB - 03-05-2016 Lets see i still get the red icon on ediabas and it shows no sign of connection.
