Hi guys,

i despair with my r270.

I want to change vin and odometer from an e90 kombi, i open the dashboard, desolder the 080D0WQ-EEPROM and put it in IC-Socket from my R270.

Then i will start R270 software 1.20, "select mcu" -> "080D0WQ" -> "OK" -> "Read" sometimes it comes an read error, sometimes it reads with 1/1024, sometimes with 300/1024 but not more...

I think i bought the good edition from r270, black plastic case?
An 0L01Y from my CAS3 there can read and write without problems.

Already tried;
Put external 5V from an USB-Cable to the R270 eeprom board (see picture)
Clean the 080D0WQ with braid (in german Entlötlitze)
Feels like 1000 times put eeprom out of IC-socket, restart r270 and so one...

I would appreciate about any help ! headbang

I had the same problem once with r270..yust use any eeprom programer for read and backup and if is v serie replace the chip than you can write with upa,xprog,,etc

But thats not the solution. All people report that the R270 works perfect on this eeprom.
I payed for three years 120€ for it!

On some eeproms work perfectly(erase) but some of them dont..all other modules work like a charm..so if you work on this cars better allways have some 35080 and 35160 at home..you can also make some rework on eeprom adaptor to be better on those chips..It is not my picture I find it on net,so thaks to the owner

I have reworked my eeprom board from the r270.

In R11 i soldered out the orig resistor "B21" and solder a 6kΩ resistor.

You can see on the picture, now the r270 reads every time the 080D0WQ, but only 33/1024 sad
