Is programming with ISTA-P including ENET-cable safe? - Bimmer540 - 22-05-2016

I want programming GWS from BMW F01 2008 with ISTA-P (Beemerboy loader)
including ENET-cable, but is it safe? Or is it best to use ICOM.

F series BMW's don't have any diagnostic optical connection, just ENET thru the OBD2 socket. The problem with the HU-H/Kombi modules programing fails is the lack of an DHPC server on the network.
