E93 Windows/Doors problem, Comfort Access - Levanime - 18-07-2016

Hi,

M3 2010 E93

Battery was drained, since then windows do not move (little bit) when door is closed/opened, Comfort Access doesnot work

after that, New FRM3 module was installed and programmed, all lights work fine,

Windows were regulated manually, plus thru INPA

Windows go up and down normally (including with one click)

but they still dont move when door is closed/opened

where to look? what could cause it?

Did you try the trick with holding the window switches up for 10 seconds, with doors closed?

I did,

I've also regulated them thru INPA

Due to lack of better ideas I would suggest to recode the whole car as it can be that CAS or FRM or JBE do not realize its convertible and operate like in other body types. I suppose there are no related fault codes and new FRM was properly encoded?

Don't move when door is open or stop to move when open it. (If in moving it's).

I found this in another forum (e90post), coming from a BMW tech:

Initialization is performed on the power window switch of the relevant door.
Requirements for correct initialization:
• Initialization with engine running
• Convertible top, doors and windows closed

Initialization comprises:
• Erasure of initialization
• Reinitialization

An initialization must be performed:
• In the event of malfunctions, e.g. no one-touch control function, no opening or if available no comfort function is possible
• After the power window drive has been replaced
• After work is carried out on the power window mechanism
• After a power supply interruption, e.g. disconnection of the battery or disconnection of the power supply to the door
• After the door window glass has been removed and installed or replaced
• After adjustment work on the door window glass
• After adjustment work on the convertible top
• After replacement of seals

Erasure of initialization:
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate power window switch in "Open" position four times within 10 seconds

This erases initialization of the power window, anti-trapping protection and toll function are inactive.
Check whether one-touch control (toll) function is inactive, otherwise repeat procedure.

Reinitialization:
Avoid a break between the two steps!
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage)
• Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer
• Open door window glass fully
• Operate and hold power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage)
• Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in "Close" position for approx. 2 seconds longer.

Thank you!

OF course FRM is encoded correctly, everything (besides the issue described) works fine (lights, etc)

I've tried reseting manually, but got stuck on it:
"Check whether one-touch control (toll) function is inactive, otherwise repeat procedure."

Its not clear to me what it means, after doing as per instruction, opening window fully and then clicking open 4 times within 10 seconds, I try to close window with one click and it closes,

so probably i am doing something wrong,
thats why i went to INPA and reseted it from there,
in FRM menu you just click reseting it, windows go all the way down, then all the way up and thats it

I'm glad you got it sorted out.

Is right FA for E93 in FRM?
Windows are initialised with INPA or ISTA/D?
Right ZUSB programmed?
