Probably useful for ISTA+ programming over ENET, if someone ever figures it out... and it's pure sorcery how you will be able to interface to a running software and provide the KL voltage info!

Not just useful, Lifesaving feature!

For diag only I would say it is ok, but for programming and it doesnt matter which interface it is at least danger.

Most of the modern cars are very sensitive about voltage drops in a flashing process, so may a complete "Flash to Heaven" can occur. If it is only a Flash and you have a dump and a rework station and soldering skills than it is pretty easy to fix.

But meanwhile a lot of software is inside the main chips, some of them are in BGA packages and they are not so easy to desolder, even it doesnt make sense because of the missing programming adapter you would need.

In my opinion it is more than danger to disable the voltage protection, better buy a certified charger, of course not cheap, but what is cheaper the charger or some blowed boxes?

@bb88
Anyway Thank you for all your efforts about the loader and all other stuff you made in the past and in the future.

It's awesome!

Very good jobs, as always!

RE: (POC) ISTA+ Voltage Control - 14TLC - 27-09-2016

Very useful. Especially for diagnostics with K+DCAN cable which does not report voltage. Can expand the possibility to run more ABLs which require voltage readout.

congrats

RE: (POC) ISTA+ Voltage Control - BusyBox - 27-09-2016

Of course good charger is a must. Problem is most of china (maybe original too) ICOMs are reporting voltage with 0.2-0.5V under, so you may have 150A super quality charger with 13.8-14-2V stable output, that can not be used because of this. And that is very annoying!

100% useful .... very good tool
