Opel Corsa B dash lights & interior fan - The K-Man - 28-09-2016

Hi guys,

I have a 130i Corsa (first shape).

Had earth problems a while ago and discovered the earth from the battery to a very loose connection to body just above the battery against firewall (engine side). That was an original fixture.

After fixing that by putting earthstrap to shock-mounting, my intermittent starting problems disappeared and back lights worked fine again.

What I then discovered is that my interior fan and dashlights would not work anymore. I since replaced that loose earth connection with an earth running to about the same spot as original with a self-tapper screw attaching it. No luck though.

Are there a feed for the dashlights from the lights switch that I can test? Just want everything to work again. gavel

Check fuses may have popped 1 had this on corsa c and dashboard lights weren't working and car would,t start either only half the clocks were lit up
but dash isn't coded on that car so you wouldn't get the no start problem smile

check fuses first then check big headlight switch next to door try pulling switch out and see if main cabin light comes on. If you think it may be headlight switch take it off find wiring diagram and connect the correct leads together with a jumper wire if lights work then switch is faulty.

let me know as I sell a lot of Vauxhall parts and think I have a few headlight switch's in stock smile

Also Ive had problems with fan controls before lights would disappear if I gave it a quick bash they would come on again bad earth or connection smile
