Need help with Galletto 4 to connecto to ecu pls... - Joda - 14-10-2016

Hi!
I got yesterday my Galletto 4 Master tool and I will to play a bit with it but I
need some help about the playing rules. smile

So, I have also a mostly unusable ECU from an Opel Corsa-D year 2007.
It is an MJD ECU with an MPS563 cpu.

How should I connect this type of ECU to my new Galletto 4 device?

I'm try to connect the ECU in BDM mode where are stand MPS 55xx/56xx and
a short description:
" FOLLOW BOOT INSTRUCTION IN DOCUMENTS " but I cant find any boot instructions for the MPS 563 cpu.

Did I missing something or I didn't know something?

A small hand holding help would I appreciate for my first steps with this tool. smile

Thank you very much.

Try this user manual conector from galletto.

This is exactly the ecu which I have to playing with.
Why is this doc not in my FG folder somewhere?

I tried to reinstall the app which I got with my FG on cd but tat info is not included.

Does I do something wrong?

Thnks.

Not make no mistake it, simply does not have the means manual self.
self in the manual has only the original galletto

What is actually an "ori" file?
I can read bout "... Please I need ori ecu dump for Audio xx..." etc.
What is this actually?
Is that a virgin/original firmware for the requested car?
I mean, I have a VW Polo 1.4 MPI year 2008 and if the ecu goes bad
I can buy another (used) ecu and flash it with the so called "ori" dump?

Thanks.

Original file is untouched or unmodified in any way Joda, and not all ori files can be cross flashed to another ecu, it all depends on the hardware HW wink

If I'm understand, than an "ori" or original file is an unchanged content of a firmware which was read out from another ECU and not a factory virgin firmware content.
So, If I read out the firmware from my VW Polo and make no modification than I can say that content is an "ori" ECU cpu dump?

If we talk about "ori" and "virgin" ecu dump's than we talk about the same type of dumps? I mean, is "ori" and "virgin" unchanged but read out content from another
ECU or is the "virgin" the original factory firmware?

I think cross flashing firmware through different hardware platform
versions is a bit problematic and I would not recommend that.
That could end up in a big pain in the a... smile

Thanks guy's for your time.
I appreciate that.

Ori called the original file from ecu that we have read.
Clear or immo off called the file from ecu that we have read, after editing the file and we have make changes.
Virgin called the file that we have read from new ecu unused.

Thanks for this nice and simple explanation.
Immo off = immobilizer deactivated ?

Thanks.
