[SOLVED] P2015 DTC on VW Passat 2.0TDI CBAB engine, need help - Joda - 02-12-2016

HI!
I have a VW Passat 2.0TDI CBAB engine year 2008 in my garage.
The car have many problems what are actually solved but the one DTC P2015
is still there.

The car had a bad throttle actuator motor which is changed with new one.
But in the same time when the car was on diag I saw the error P2015-intake manifold damper sensor, implausable signal.

I checked for the 5V reference from the ecu which is ok.
Also checked for the motor powering wiring and voltage all is ok.
Also checked for the sensor output signal to the ecu which is also ok.

Conclusion does actually the Intake Manifold Runner Control which part number is
03L 129 086 V120 is working and in a good condition.
Could it be does the problem is inside the intake manifold?

Whenever I erase the DTC the code is coming back again.

There are also a "Particle filter overloaded" error and "Air mass flow during regeneration, to high" error.

Any suggestion pleas...

Thanks
My best regards.

Hello
Seems to be dpf clogged ! you have to activate dpf regeration with VCDS or other diagnostic tool !
After dpf regeneration if still are stored P2002 or P2463 than you have to bypass dpf in file !

Mike

It's ok does the DPF is clogged, but I cant override the P2015-intake manifold damper sensor, implausable signal.

As I know the DPF can not be regenerated until there are DTC's in the memory.

Otherwise, can I activate the DPF regeneration through VCDS but not to drive the car?
I man, some mechanics technicians told me does the DPF regeneration should be activated until the car is driven, because the high temp...

Thanks.

18447/P2015/008213 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1): Implausible Signal
Possible Symptoms

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON
Power Loss

Possible Causes

Intake Manifold Flap faulty
Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) stuck/faulty
Engine Control Module Software/Firmware Version faulty
Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) faulty

Possible Solutions

Check Intake Manifold Flap
Check/Replace Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)
Perform Output Tests/Basic Setting
Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157)

Special Notes

In some Cases the Issue can only be resolved by Replacing the whole Intake Manifold.
The Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) and Manifold Runner Position Sensor (G336) may be Part of the same Unit.
When found in a VW Golf/Jetta (1K): 1.9l PD-TDI (BRM), check Engine Control Module (ECM) Software Version:
03G-906-016-AB @ 7328 or 7550 as well as 03G-906-016-AC @ 7280 or 7551 do have a Software Error which requires a special Adaptation for the Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) which at this Point can only be performed with the Factory Tool.

Your fault code is pointing towards the Intake Manifold Flap Motor (V157) which has to have 12V have you checked the fuses in Engine Bay........Also check the Flap linkages on manifold.....

Hi,
You must change the whole Intake Manifold
The code is 03L129711E for engine before 20.7.2009 or 03L129711AG for engine after 21.07.2009

Thanks for the info. I found that too and compared wit the simptom of the car.
The v157 is fine. There are 12v and also if I check the motor it's working fine.

I assume that the intake manifold is the problem. ..

Thanks for any suggestion.
I solved the problem without to change the complete manifold...
The message "implausible signal" is coming from somewhere.
The reason for this message is the intake manifold control unit.
If the control unit is out of calibration then that message is coming up.
This has nothing to do with the intake manifold.

The signal from the air intake manifold control module to the ECU should
be Umin=0.4V in a zero position, that means when the car is not
started but ignition on.

If this voltage is unde 0.4v than it fires a DTC P2015.
I don't know if on other models are also the same voltage is the DTC trigger
but in my case it is.

So.
here is how I solved my problem:

I suggest to use the bolt variation to solve this problem because with the bolt
you can fine adjust the output voltage on the unit.
And of course, it is cheaper than that repair kit's with that aluminium bracket.

After this repair you should calibrate the intake manifold control unit through
the diagnostic tool.
