Insignia EDC17C19 checksum error - valifilioreanu - 03-12-2016
Hello,
I am trying to do a DPF OFF to an Opel Insignia using KESSV2.
After reading the file I am getting the error that the checksum is incorrect.
I have attached the file. Can somebody see where is the problem?

I think the checksum problem is in china clone valifilioreanu

Hi mate your checksums are just fine checking with winols.
here dpf off, you may get intake flap errors but if you do we can remove them

Hi ROD,
I have tried it but I think I bricked it. I cannot communicate with ecu anymore.
Tried recovery with Kess without success. Any advice please?

Ok keep trying recovery, if no, you will need another tool. Try reading with ktag or fgtech but a good one. china clones are not good

China clones are perfect (I got only problem with KESS tricore module - others dont, OBD is OK)... the fault is in the one behind GUI
. Recovery will not work neither, need to do in tricore. Read in boot mode(galletto, Kess, KTAG, MPPS v18), match with OBD read, repair the stock file, turn off Tprot CS, write in boot tricore. Then you can use KESS via OBD.for Insignia edc17c19
0281 015xxx directly programmable by OBD
0281 016xxx have to open the ECU to disable the tuning protection
0281 017xxx have to open the ECU to disable the tuning protection
0281 018xxx have to open the ECU to disable the tuning protection
I did mine many times with KTAG (once galletto) and KESS. KTAG can do the checksum, for writing with KESS CS is disabled. KESS can not write the CS area..... still it will request stock file to compare and will calculate the CS.
