Need 2001 Toyota VIN to Keycode - baboonia - 16-01-2017

I need help with a 2001 Prius need VIN to keycode. I think the format is 1xxxx

Can anyone assist?

Vin to keycode not likely possible unless from dealer. Remove passenger door lock and if lucky you may see keycode stamped on the lock cylinder.

then I wonder how these people offer VIN to code service? Perhaps they have a buddy at each dealership? Or they have reverse engineered the algorithm like the seed to passcode guys have?

They use subscription to oem dealers web sites and resale key codes for extra charge, you can register yourself and buy codes much cheaper, but must be registered locksmith with NASTF ID.
