[E90] DSC system malfunction - Loliceman - 26-01-2017

Hey all!

a friend of mine has a DSC issue with his E90 320D -06.
During normal operation, while driving on highway or speed above 30 km/h he gets a blinking DSC light and the system is also slowing the tires down.

The DSC is doing what it is suppose to do, but the road conditions are not wet or slippery.

Car has been diagnosed in ISTA 4.03.21 and INPA without any related faultcodes.
Wheel speed sensors has been checked to monitor differences, but they all show the same value regardless of current speed and blinking DSC.

Could it be ABS-sensors? Based on my research this is a common fault on E90.
All wheels and the other parts has been thoroughly cleaned with brake clear but no effect.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? How did you diagnose it?

Try to set "hide bogus faults" and "hide unknown faults" to FALSE in istagui.exe.config and diagnose again ...

Check the wheel sensors for dirt or rust

Your steering angle sensor is dirty ,check it in livedata too.
Remove it,clean it and make new adjustment with DIS/Ista-D.
Check your lateral acceleration sensor in livedata too.

Thank you all for helping out!
He started the car today after a long sleep and it had a constant DSC light.

Faultcodes came back as faulty rear right wheel sensor.

Parts ordered and issue soon resolved (Y)
