no problem at all to upgrade maps or firmware using same SDcards
right now I have plan to upgrade my map but I am afraid about run script to activate it

You must update the firmware and maps with the engineering menu

When this is complete the mmi reboots, after that make sure that the mmi is fully booted and put the sd card in the unit, activation screen will pop up and you must press any key, after 40 seconds activation is complete and you must reboot the mmi and remove the activation sd.

I can tell you sunday, i don't know the solution. I have done the updates and do the activation sunday. Just for clarify: have you done the updates already or do you try to see if the activating screen pops up before you have done the updates? Because you have questions this morning about the updates, maybe that is the problem

I don't understand why you have problems. Just insert SD when MMI is fully booted (5 minuted to wait to be sure) and follow instructions. Then do a 3 buttons reboot and the map is activated without any blo king message.
Did it work for you ?
Of course, you have to update FW and map BEFORE activating. Activation is available for 0770 and 0767 FW only !! Which offer you many car types to update and activate.
Slot 1 to insert Sd of course !!
And SD no WRITE PROTECTED !

I think my sdcard has broken write protection switch. I will try to use different. Ok I am going to update map. 2 hr will be enough for update? My card is class 10

Let us know if it works, and make sure you have done the firmware update before map update!

1. upgrade your FW to 767 or 770 (depends on your HW)
2. upgrade maps using original audi files without any modifications
3. install Carson patch from your post 77 - just copy content of patch to sdcard and run script

YES !! For 3 weeks I am using my MMI with this activated method and all is working properly.
My beautiful A6 Avant bi-TDI 313ch is 10 month old and nothing is bricked !! Just follow instructions attentively !
