Mercedes 211 E270 communication problem - spanaz1 - 20-06-2017
Hello Friends,
I am having problems with mercedes e270 CDI. The car will only start with quick start and when driving for a short distant the fan start to run fast and all lights on cluster will illuminate,temperature gauge will not show and tacho will stop functioning immediately car will lose power like it's in limp mode. The auxiliary battery is dead and Diagnosis will only show problem with heater plug number 3 and oil sensor.but when I diagnose other units I get CAN communication error with PCM.
I tried following CAN wires but they checked out ok. Where else can I look?

Friend, I had almost same problem with S320D, and problem was in ECU in flash dump. I had to replace ECU and write old MPC and EEPROM , but with NEW GOOD FLASH dump.
Try this...When car wont start, use some diagnostic and go to ENGINE and MEASURING blocks, look at SW and HW number....(in my case all is 000000000)

The engine control module was broken, and I had the same problem with the mercedes-benz E260.Good luck!

Now the car has been sitting with me for sometime today I tried putting the battery in and it started first time but when I switched it off and try to start it nothing happened still old story so I put it on diagnostics and check live data this is what I found with the car not running

Can the same ecu be fixed or i have to look for another one? this is what i read from flash when the car refused to respond.
