R270 programmer connection to 160D0WQ - oem111 - 13-07-2017

Hi all, I just bought a set of R270+ Chip Programmer. Main purpose is to erase 35080/35160 chipset on used BMW instrument cluster so i can install it to my car. Can some kind soul advise me how to wire R270 to the chip?

Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated.

you need to desolder chip and use adapter for best result.

Thanks for your reply. I did desolder and put to adapter but seems adapter is faulty as the[Image: 4f9120ca1352141747683e6cbf1fad41.jpg] LED has no light. And software v1.20 couldn't see the chip. So I am thinking to try the wire method

Hi, how do I put 12V to R270? Now it's powered by the wall power supply.

Thanks

look on this thread and compare your adapter with this one posted..you can try resolder all pins in case of bad soldering quality

Ok thanks mate! Will do a detail read on the post. But am also not sure if the adapter I have now is a faulty unit as I didn't see any light from the LED at all.

Does box make a beep when powered?

In device manager can you see it?
