K d Can bmw diagnsotic cable problem? - bmwlover - 16-07-2017
Hello. I have k d can with ftdi chip. It worked good. I replaced laptop and it does not work now. All settings are correct. Installed rheingold without any problems. The car is same. Should the cable light up red light when I connect it? Computer recognizes the cable but cannot see any light when I connect it into the obd port.

Depends on the cable. But 90% of time you need to connect it to the car in order for it to work.

Do you put on com port 9 and latency time to 1?

Thank you everyone. All setting are correct. Unfortunately it was cable fault. Ftdi chip works, so comptuer reads the cable but it cannot receive power from obd port. Problem is solved.
