So I just tried that method, removed cluster found eeprom chip, it reads the mileage then when I enter new mileage and it "writes" it'll say check written value 0 and I hook up cluster and mileage is the same, any tips? Does the bcm on this car save the mileage? Would I have to rewrite both?

Hi, i have no experiance wit this car, hade only this manual, maybe someone other can help you, who have made alredy such car .

you can do it by obd
i have tried with many car 2010 2011 2012 it work ok.... but one time oneof them failed ... if it failed you can remove bcm and do it by eeprom

So I removed body control module, took apart, is the eeprom this small one on bottom right corner? And if so, do I rewrite that first then cluster? Or cluster first then bcm?

Hi everyone,
i'm trying to use my digiprog on the ECU of a golf 4. it's a 24C04 chip. I connect my st01 clip, reading works because digiprog shows me the current mileage, but when I press "V" to access the next menu and so type the new mileage, I have the message "unkown version»! Someone knows why? Why he can read but not more? If really he was not able to manage this chip, he would not even be able to read? no?

Why you not make it by obd ?
