CIC prof. F30 reboots - Fx82 - 07-08-2017

I've got a F30 cic prof. unit which failed on updating navi maps. The power went off.
Now the cic keeps on rebooting every 10 seconds. If I change the harddisk with an E90 one it won't reboot anymore.
A couple of questions:
-is the image of an E90 the same as a F30?
-do I need to make a clone or can I manually delete the maps on the harddisk and upgrade it? If so what is the path?

Yes, .. hdd E90 and F30 are the same.

Delete the map from hdd and see if it reboots again. Alternatively, you can clone that of another drive and install a new map.

It will not be easy to delete the map especially if the CIC is rebooting. This will stop you going in by Telnet and running commands to repair it or delete it.

The map is held in the first partition (out of 6) on the drive. Unfortunately the file system is QNX so you can't plug the drive into a PC and read it. You can 'mount' it on a Linux machine but it will only be read-only.

If you want to keep some of the info on the drive like your music etc. then just take a clone image of the first partition from the E90 drive and put it on the F30 drive. Personally I use a program called selfimage which is free and simple.

That job in tool32 is that only for deleting the navigation map?
