E-SYS ICOM Connection Problem - bmw335coding - 12-08-2017

Hi guys,

after update to firmware of my ICOM A1 to newest 03-15-00 i have an connection problem with esys to all cars (try f30, f10, f25...).

This is the error message:
"Connection check failed.
Gateway/ECUs are not correctly connected or not responding.
However Functions using the ODX-Data can be used. [G188]"

I locked the ICOM like the times before update and put the IP in ESYS. Before update all was ok.
Connection to ISTA and EDIBAS with ICOM is successfull.

Anyone has an idea?

No, ICOM must be locked for E-Sys use.

100% ICOM must be locked to use with ESYS since years!

Hi Shawn,
Im just curious about this, I have been working with E-SYS all time, without locking the ICOM.
Locking it, is a security measure? or what is the porpouse of doing it?

Thanks´in advance!

You don't hit "Reserve" if using iTool Radar or check the "ICOM Lock" checkbox if using EasyConnect Utility?

I've never used Itool radar or EasyConnect with Esys, in order to lock the ICOM, just conect it and works with out any problem.
Just with NCSEXPER I lock the ICOM (Reserve)
