MIB2 Datasets - spyderboyant - 04-10-2017
Hi there,
can anyone explain how dataset's are used with the new VAG MIB2s? Is this another way VAG/Audi control enable features on the MIB2s? I am retrofitting BOSE into my Q7 4M from MIB2 amplifier and understand that I need to apply the BOSE dataset via VCP to get the amp working.

1) If BOSE is not new, then you do not need a data set.
2) If BOSE is new, then select the data set (ZDC container) specifically for the number of your amplifier.
3) But before you fill in the data, you need to remove the "Component Protection" from any AUDI dealer

TA. I haven't had a chance to play with it again. Like the A5 front camera for Traffic Sign Recognition, it needs the "dataset" with TSR enabled for it to work or else you get "no Traffic Sign Recognised"..
