Mazda rx8 limp mode code p1688 p2004 advice needed - cclaypool16 - 11-10-2017
I need some advice from a Mazda Rotary engine expert,found a nice 04 rx8 for sale 1500 bucks idles perfect but won't rev up past 3000 rpm,has code p1688 and p2004 which says oil metering pump and throttle valve stuck open has no power top end,possible fix and I know we are just speculating here ? Also in this state could this car be driven home slowly if I bought it or would I have to have it towed,it's a six speed manual and car is excellent condition.any advice would be very appreciated !
