I've been considering getting one of these myself but am not sure i can justify the cost.
Those who have them any recommendations? Is it worth it?

In the past, u had to have it to install ista without modifying files. Now that’s no longer a requirement. For that much money you can get a way nicer laptop.
Lenovo x230t has very similar hardware as R2.

It's discontinued by BMW AG, Now official solution is Panasonic CF-54.
More powerful and faster, 1TB SSD, 64 bit OS, more RAM.

Don't waste your money on the Actia PC. It will be discontinued by BMW soon.. much like ISID v1

but not is same price.
Actia, have 2 slot of RAM ddr3 is possible 16GB, SSD also is possible. 64bits also possible.

the mayor difference is generation of I7, CF-54 is new and is more fast.
but for ISTAD/P and esys. is sufficient with ISID R2 i think.

almost for me actia isid r2 is pretty than CF-54

100% is 64-bit on CF-54
