If using ISTALauncherConsole to install, you do nothing to registry. If downloading and extracting to location, then you edit registry. Any reason you do not want to use 4.09.20 SDP with 4.09.20 product version? Yes, the reason is that there are always problems with the registry or launcher console, and it's easier to wait for the right data to download. Also, I'm not familiar with the Launcher console and I do not know how it all works, so what ista version must be there, what data you need to insert so you can update etc ... So is it possible to simply enter the Reg with SWI data 4.09.12 and later change the reg to 4.09.20 if the SDP data 4.09.20 are available? Or does it make no difference whether the reg is SWI data 4.09.20, although only the SDP 4.09.12 are included? RE: ISTA-D 4.09.20 Standalone - milkyway - 12-01-2018 Hello! You can use ISTA 4.09.20 with SDP 4.09.12 or vice versa without any problems. The reg entry should be correct, that's all. But in my eyes it's absolutely easier to update the SDP via the launcher console than to download every time the full package with more than 50/60 GB. The latest update from 4.09.12 to SDP 4.09.20 was a small one (laucher console needed only 1 minute not more, managed the reg entrys etc.). Why should I download tons of bytes when I can do it fast and easy? The launcher console here do the same job the launcher console on a BMW system would do. Okay, here we have a dos box and not a nice GUI, but the Job is the same. The only thing you cannot update with the dos box launcher console is ISTA itself. Here you have to install the new standalone version. CU Oliver RE: ISTA-D 4.09.20 Standalone - Stromag - 12-01-2018 (12-01-2018, 10:12 AM)milkyway Wrote: Hello! Ok, so I just change the SWIData point from 4.09.20 to 4.09.12 in the Reg file when I use the SDP data 4.09.12? If I make the update to SDP 4.09.20 with the launcher, do I have to change the reg file again to 4.09.20 but change before or after the update? RE: ISTA-D 4.09.20 Standalone - milkyway - 12-01-2018 Hello! Th launcher console will do the trick for the registry. CU Oliver |
