I use the following configuration:
Windows 10 LTSB
270GB Partition for ISTA-P
30 GB for ISTA+

From win7 to win10 x86 x64 working perfect. If U install all like in my FAQ.

300 - 500 Gb. Better is 500 GB.

i not understand what you mean saying page 15 " installing network tool"
rename to USB "network connection"
1) no way to rename it on win7 professional 64 bits
2) which i must rename from "system peripherique" ? ( the network card RJ45 )
3) from your istaP-loader_6.3 lite v08/2017 ; I not see "ICOMemulator" , it is normal ?
