Yes,I agree, because GDS VCI Diagnostic Tool is the best for Hyundai & Kia. I have a friend bought one from careucar.com, He told me that is very good, I think you can have a try. Hope it can help you!

Iv found on a website (I don't know if it's allowed to say which website) that Hyundai used to upload their old software before the gds onto the Hyundai service website.
Some people found out that the Hyundai diagnostic tool does 'pin switching' between I think pins 7,8,12 and 15 on the obd plug.
So with a obd cable that supports ftdi chip an then bridging those pins together and using the old Hyundai software that was emulated. you can then diagnose Hyundai vehicles.
I'm waiting for my obd cable to test if this works on my 1998 Hyundai elantra.

I tested GDS VCI with GDS program on Hyundai 1999. Diagnostic worked well.

Is your car a US car?
From 96 US cars were obd 2. Sadly my car not being a US car is still obd 1.
So to get a tool to work has been a nightmare for me.
Looking for a cheap gds vci which probably doesn't exist in my price range.
