Flashing with ICOM Next and Esys noob questions - maxwell4321 - 01-04-2018
I have ICOM Next that I use for coding etc but I now find myself needing to full flash because of certain retrofit and because of previous retrofits I do not want to use ISTA+ so am planning to use Esys.
As I understand it I need to setup as follows.
PC>DCHP Router>Icom>Car and connect PSU to car
Reserve ICOM with iTool Radar
Now at this point because ZGW will be included - which connection do I select in Esys, do I use normal ICOM or by gateway URL ?
Generate TAL
Lock ASCM module for airbags with External transmitter
Execute TAL
Pray hard.
Is this correct ?

I never lock my ICOM.
I simply connect it directly to laptop, unless flashing NBT/Kombi, then you need DHCP.
I used ICOM connection.
