Anyone aware about this? Allegedly there is service campaign for ICOM Next A and all ICOM Next A should be checked by serial number to determine whether they are affected

This is the first I've heard. Do you have any documents about this?

This is what i got from my ICOM NEXT.

"Dear Sir or Madam, Dear Sir or Madam,

You have successfully registered your ICOM Next A for the service campaign.

The following devices have been registered:

xxxxxxx
None of your devices is affected by the service campaign."

RE: ICOM Next A service campaign - bmwcare - 12-07-2018

Both of mine are affected.
However, I think you would have to be an idiot to fulfil the conditions to cause a 20A drain through the Ct5 cable and stress the USB port.
I'm awaiting the repair parts but I do not think that I will even bother doing the 'repair'.

I think it is just Actia covering themselves for legal reasons.
