Hello,
I have a 2008 E90 N43 coming to me tomorrow. Other garage said that DLC does not power up scan tool.
I've been looking for the wiring disgram on BMW-TIS but I cannot find it. Can anybody help?

Power is always pin 16, ground is always pins 4 and 5.
2008 should be CANbus with CAN Hi on pin6 and CAN Lo on pin 14
There is a possibility that the real OBD plug is hidden away, or the power is switched to avoid key programming

Turned out to be very simple. Pins had slid back in socket. Removed socket and shoved them back into place.
