Thanks, I thought it could be a car fault
It's Renault Espace III (Avantime ?), ELM327 doesn't talk with either
Unlucky i have no access to any other renault

RE: RENAULT DDT2000 V2.9.0.4 - djcristi - 11-08-2015

Elm327 is not for old vehicles (pre-euroObd) like espace 3 , also ddt2000 has not database (or is missing much) for vehicles until year 2002, use Clip or universal solutions (autocom , launch , kts, multi-diag, etc)

Could some kind soul please re-upload, the original links in the first post no longer workee ...I'm sitting here with a brand new blue cable & a semi boner...but no software sad

Why are you so keen to work with DDT2904 ?
Since someone will reupload 2904, you can make tests and diags with 2301, easyer to find, and you will see no differences for 2904, it does no more than 2301, important for DDT is the database and of course a Derelek CAN interface, kkl blue cable is only for old cars, other words, blue kkl cable = piece of sh*t.
Derelek rules the world of Reno toys, aah, cars ...

I'm grabbing in the dark - I only want to reset a warning 'check parking brake' on my 2006 grand scenic ....and this seemed the cheapest way to do it!

Who wants to work with DDT2000, I have Renolink for sale, which uses the DDT2000 database, do the same things as DDT2000 and it is used with ObdLink SX USB interface. For more details PM or email.

you understood it wrong, clearing an error does not solve the cause, you need to repair first your parking brake module and after: clear the error.

and for your car (CAN car) ddt2000 is useless without proper cable (derelek usb-diag) and valid ddt2000 license (not dll meds).

RE: RENAULT DDT2000 V2.9.0.4 - peskywinnets - 15-08-2015

I was hoping to use the DDT2000 to tell me why it says "check parking brake" ...the parking brake works (though does not auto release...which I guess is why I have the error - but looking for more clues). Failing getting to the bottom of the problem I'd like to reset the dashboard warning message just for long enough for the MOT test (MOT centres will now fail a car relating to dashboard warning messages nowadays...but when I paid them £25 to reset it at the last MOT it lasted a few miles before coming back on, hence wanting to reset this message just prior to going into the MOT test facility!)

I've since got DDT2000 working with the associated cheap blue ebay cable I bought - but it didn't trap any alarms when connected to my ....I've run out of daylight today, so will have a dabble tomorrow.

What status should the car be in to connect up DDT & cable to diagnose? (e.g. key in, start pressed but engine off? or does the engine have to be running?)

RE: RENAULT DDT2000 V2.9.0.4 - peskywinnets - 16-08-2015

I'm all sorted, 'check parking brake' dashboard error cleared .....total price = £4 (for the cable) vs. £30 for the garage doing it smile (but more to the point, I can reset any pesky error messages at will now!)

RE: RENAULT DDT2000 V2.9.0.4 - djcristi - 17-08-2015

You had luck, because there are 2 K-line modules and 1 on CAN, you had on car the first one, if you had the CAN ones (green) you cannot communicate using the KKL cable.
