issue happened when upgrade id4 to id6 - AlvinGGG - 22-10-2019
Hi there, my car is a 06/2016 M135i RHD in Australia.
Just wondering is my 2GB or 4GB RAM?
I recently tried to upgrade my id4 to id6. After flashing, I got the new id6 system with a messed up home screen. The layout on the home screen are totally mess up as shown in the attachment.
The system works fine, and all the application looks ok to me. If I want to get it fixed, do I need to just do some coding or I have to flash it again?
Also the navigation required activation code....
Another thing is that if I get a head unit 2 from a crashed 2017 M140i, how should I code it to fit my car?

evo id4 only have 2g ram, it's need more ram to run smoothly.

Just have to code with id 5 or 6 time criterion
but
ID4 is 2GB, ID4 flashed to ID5-6 soon will be rebooted every day, then every hour, then every min

some one said I should change hmi_i to id6_i to fix this, how can I do that with e-sys? Still a little confused with this app

You need to VO code the unit with 07.2016 build date like fscmap said already.

I did this by change the value in FA edit to a 2017 M140i value which is from 1V12 (06/2016 m135i) to 1S92 (12/2016 M140i) cause there is no more m135i after 06/2016...

Then it must be fine. If not, you did not load the new FA file correctly
