2010 mondeo tdci 1.8 wont crank - coder - 17-01-2022

Can someome please help me with this fault 2010 1.8 tdci

This car was parked as normal about a week ago and the next
morning the car would not start.Dash would light up as normal
but no crank. The two fault codes i am getting are P2505 and PA09.
I have checked the loom to the injectors and, from ign sw to start relay and
from start relay to ecu all ok I can get it to crank by shorting the 2 big pins on
start relay. If I have a cam belt problem will this stop it from cranking.
I will be grateful for any help
Regards
Larry.

Check all +12V (INput) and all grounds to the ECU.

hi

you have a power supply problem
and it looks like your ecu is dead

Will say that your ecu is dead or as often seen (when car was in front accident before) wiring is cut. Guys that repair cars dont heistage to put wiring back in its place and it rubs some metal and this happens - had few of same issues this year already. Or some animal had it for dinner.

How I can check if Ecu is dead?

check harness under left headlamp, very common to corrode

Also, if this is a blade key vehicle. check to make sure after key is turn, output voltages are correct. You will need diagram to identify which is which and what's connecting with the turn of the key.
