SAGEM S3000 virging - Khaleal - 30-08-2014

Hi,

My car started having issues and it was diagnosed with a faulty ECU. Renault dealer wants 600GBP in order to change the ECU! The car is Renault Megane II 1.6 16v 2005.
It was pretty easy to find cheap secondhand ECUs with same part number (Renault Engine ECU S3000 21584288-2A 8200321263 8200387138) on eBay.
But I'm aware it won't work with my car out of the box and it need to be decoded and set to virgin (self-programming) state.
I decided to try tuning/decoding the secondhand ECU myself..
What equipment/software should I have? I searched the web and found some information about MPPS.. But anyway.. Your advice is appreciated smile
I already own a Renault CAN CLIP capable of programming/reprogramming..

I'm new to this field smile What hardware should be used to connect between the ECU and the PC? Can you recommend one? Is that possible without the procedure of desoldering and resoldering chips from the board?

If I understand correctly.. This KESS needs OBD2 running and ignition ON.
But when I swap my current ECU with the secondhand ECU (which I want to make it virgin).. I won't be able to turn ignition ON with my current keycard.. Is that correct? Correct me if I'm wrong..
