MEVD17.2.3 ISN F39 - kimz - 29-04-2022

Hi, can you check ISN for me?
I found manually:

Quote:BD66E54915B3C443C99EB08FD871DE56

But car won't start after BDC lost/no readable, can someone confirm if the DME ISN I found is correct?

Car don't start in case that ISN from DME inserted on BDC isn't decrypted with EWS5 or cryptokey

You're right. That's why I used the "Calculate ECU Data" function in CGDI, after entering DME ISN there, it is recalculated. CAS_ISN is 80203A ...
However, I haven't used the "calculate ecu data" function before and I don't know if I'm using it correctly

At the beginning, after pressing Start, nothing happened, no information on the kombi like "press the brake pedal" or "starter fault " the ignition did not turn off after a few attempts, now the ignition simply turns off, as if I did not press the brake pedal, no errors regarding the immo / ews manipulation. Is it possible to check BDC <-> DME synchronization somehow? The car is after a collision, I don't know whether to look for a problem here or somewhere else

Thank you

your decrypt is correct, do you have flashed BDC after editing ?

RE: MEVD17.2.3 ISN F39 - kimz - 02-05-2022

I haven't tried flashing. Today I was able to start the car, after changing DME_ISN in BDC, you have to click "reset starter lock" and re-encode the module each time. After all, the car starts up without a problem. At least that's the way it is in CGDI, but I haven't found it anywhere in the manual. Thank you for all your help.
I can also add that at the beginning I got stuck at the point where I thought that CGDI was modifying the WUP entry incorrectly because after any modification it duplicate the entry each time, for example:
from ABCDffffffffffff does ABCDABCDfffffff if I type Afffffffffff it will make AffffffAffffffffffff etc.
but it doesn't really matter.
I know that not only I had a problem with that and I was contacted by people who also got stuck at this point, so I will write for the future for people who will also have this problem, after losing the BDC or BDC data you should:
1. Read ISN from DME / DDE
2. Go to the "Replace FEM / BDC" tab
3. Modify VIN, delete old keys
4. Use the "calculate ECU data" function and enter DME_ISN without spaces
5. Add new / reseted keys with "generate dealer key"
6. Click "reset starter lock" otherwise the ignition turns off immediately
7. Code the BDC module, otherwise only the fuel pump starts
8. Flash BDC module, preferably whole car
