Mercedes W245 Xenon Coding - Fredrick Kamau - 25-08-2022
I have a merc w245 which originally was fitted with halogen headlights. I had an accident and could only purchase Xenon headlights.
After reviewing WIS Doc, I made below wiring changes made
1. Exchange Pin 3-1, 4-5, 5-2, 1-3 on both lights.
2. Connect CAN wires to port 11 and port 12 to (Right- pin 2 & 3 and Left- Pin 4 & 9).
Wiring not yet done:
1. Connect fuse 55 and 56 to the pin 7 on left headlamp (socket 2) and pin 1 on the right headlamp (socket 2). Have powered the headlight directly.
2. Connect ESP pin 44 to left headlight pin3.
3. Connect pin 1,2,5,6 to left front and rear level sensor.
Where I need help is:- question,
1. Must I fit them for the Xenon light to operate.
2. Which variant coding string in Vediamo should I change from Halogen to Xenon.
3. Will J2534 Passthru devise be able to contact the headlights.
