How to correct VIN / Milage easily - tontito - 14-06-2015
Hello dear friends!
I have changed my tachometer on our mini cooper R56 to add alarm lightning.
Now the Milage have changed.
What is the most easy way to correct milage?
I have K+DCAN usb interface with NCSexpert, Ediabas, Winkfp, ISTA/P.

Desolder eeprom from cluster. Delete VIN and change mileage. Put back and code it and write vin with NCS.

VIN can't be changed with coding so you still have to remove eeprom. Sorry.

No, only way is desolder it. After you modify eeprom, you will write new VIN with WinKFP or NCS and code it to default values. Mileage will synchronize automatically after that.

I only know the ways by desoldering, or with a good programmer and a clip you can do it in curcuit, but you have to disamble your cluster

Tontito, as Chriz said. You have to disassemble cluster and use programmer to change VIN to (FF) and milage to (00), after that, turn NCS Expert On, and SG_CODIEREN -> Execute Job on Your KOMBI instrument.
