G12 Remote Software Update Fail Car wont Start - mcrussell - 14-09-2023
Hi Guys,
A Friend clicked on the remote software update & it failed but now the car doesnt start, is the a way to clear the error to start the car again?
I have checked the BTLD,SWFL & CAFDs in both DMEs & they are fine, however the DME's wont update.
Any pointers are appreciated

You may need to reset starter lock.

Its not in Transport mode, & starter lock is OK, the error says the car cannot be started due to remote software upgrade fail

no errors in Ista? Usually should be pointed with blue ecu's that has been aborted.

Check in ISTA under "service function" "headunit" "unlock maneuvering after faulty remote software upgrade".
Function called similar and can be used in this scenario to get the engine started again.
However to fix, as suggested program the car with ISTA.
