3AG retrofit on F10 with NBT coding issue - vld - 03-10-2023
Hello, everyone,
I am trying to add rear camera to F10 with factory NBT.
I added the module, connected all the wires according to the diagram from TIS.
I added 3AG to FA and coded the VO modules TRSVC, PDC, ICM, FRM, but NBT gives an error when trying to encode VO.
If I remove the 3AG option from the FA NBT is coded without a problem.
I tried to flash it but when I generate the TAL with added 3AG it gives an error about missing data and the flash fails after one or two minutes.
I did FLD coding on the NBT to activate the rear camera, but it was unsuccessful, when turning on the reverse gear on the NBT, only a black screen appears.
I only came across one post with a similar problem in another forum, but there the problem is solved by replacing the NBT.
I am exhausted and wondering what else can I do?
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Is it stock NBT or retro?
If it gives error when you code 3ag only, then probably NBT doesnt support fbas input .. it will be the first time ever to see an nbt headunit that doesnt support fbas.

NBTs from factory came in different "flavors". Basic1, basic2, full, high, etc.
This part number is for basic1. It's the most simple model withOUT support for any of 3AG/5DL/601/654/696/6NK/6NL/6NR/6UK. So you will have to replace it.
P.S. Lesson here is don't buy the cheapest car if you want to make retrofits as basic1 is the ONLY "flavor" to not support 3AG.

I'v got a similar issue while retrofitting 601 and 6FH in my F10 LCI. The NBT was not equipped for that from factory and neded to replace by full equipped one.

That is not 100% correct with EVO units. Evo units without MOST do not support FBAS reversing cameras, they only work in G series cars with ethernet cameras.

I've never confirmed that each unit will support FBAS, what I did confirmed is that each unit is prepared for 3AG
