Can someone tell me what the symbol with the arrow means. What did the colors mean?

Colors are wire colors... GrüeN/GElb (green/yellow in gehman). Arrow IMHO means that wire could be either of the two colour combo - green with a yellow stripe or yellow with a green stripe. Really that hard to imagine?

The whole doc is interesting, but what you need to read in order to understand is under "Contents and schematic diagram of wiring diagram".
The color abbreviations are later on in the section called "Line colours in the wiring diagram"
