HELP... Im nearly at an end with this,
as we say in English:
"Im losing the will to live" (only lighthearted)

I want to install old ISTA-p om old w7 laptop, I have tried everything and am having BIG problems, this is what I have downloaded:
when I click on
Standalone installer, I get this message:
Where / what am I doing wrong, If someone has time Im willing to pay for help installing this

If you did, you should download the ISTA-P(for Win7 try old ISTA-P 3.70.0) then download ISTA-P loader, then install and launcher. You were installing ISTA-D standalone, it's not the one you need and not working on Win7.

You downloaded WRONG version of ISTA
download
Standalone ISTA-P version (it's ONE file .zip.rar.7zip.etc...)
Check attachment (it's a bit older but in 1 minutes of searching that's all i found for now... i may comeback to it later on to provide you with much newer versions)

Yes I did download from that link, Im now downloading ALL from that link and hopefully someone can point to what I need

Thanks, I'll download that as well, hopefully one out of all Ive downloaded will install

I updated attachment check again
You unzip into "ANY_FOLDER_NAME"(good name would be ISTA-P....)
Then you put it in either c:\, C:\Program Files (x86)\, or C:\Program Files\,)
Then you run loader and it will find folder of ISTA-P
You will also need to download and install (BMW_Standard_Tools_Setup_2.12.2) or EDIABAS_7.3.0_Patched

Here is what I have done, I have installed these 3:
I downloaded ISTA_3.69 and softpack_v6
I unzipped both:
I installed softpack_v6 by following these instructions:
I unzipped the ISTA to C:\ drive:
This is what is inside the C:\ISTA-P folder:
When I click on the loaded that is located on the desktop and select either manual (and select the folder) or automatic, I get this error message:
what have I done wrong this time?

can you share the usb tree of the ista p directory. might be some missing files or corrupt one

You are in right direction
Tools, Java, vc, etc....
BUT
You keep on coming back to the same ista version that requires "LICENSE" oppose to stand alone version of ista that WILL run with beemerboy loader v6.x
I posted my uploaded ISTA JUST FOR YOU, along with some other files that i picked-up along the way thanks to this forum, link will expire on Apr.09.2024
Give it sometime for me to upload it all the way ( about 2~3Hours from the time i make this post)
