MB W253 Dashboard recover - marnpl - 15-04-2024
Hello colleagues,
I need help to recover instrument cluster of MB W253, i tried to write the km to the unit with Smok programmer after that the sceen on the dash shows squares, not show temperature. I can connect to the unit via obd with diagnostic tool, but cannot reprogrammed it or do scn, because the variant of the instrument cluster is unknown.
Dashboard unit number : A 205 900 95 29 , HW number : A 205 901 52 14
How can I restore it ?

What kind of vci do you have? Try reflash, if you need help with scn than give me a PM. I will gladly help if this is your private car. If its work than i will not help for free!

I tried with Autel and Launch j2534 vcis. Both device cant read the variant and dont provide me software to flash it.

you need to download sw manually. no tool will provide sw
