Hey, is it possible to code out active steering in an e91?
I saw the tutorial for e60 but I guess the zusb numbers are different.
When I look up the vin I don’t see another DSc unit without afs. Only with.
Anyone that can help?

try to remove the 217 from VO, wrote VO and calculate programming with ISTA... If it Shows "replace Hardware", the DSC will Not support non activesteering... need to replace DSC then...

So I deleted VO 217 and calculated Programming Plan. Ista/P just programmed the same zusb again over the DSC which didn’t help at all. Do I have to mark DSC as replaced before calculating with new VO?
Could need some help…

I recently did it successfully on the E92 '08.
Remove $217 from VO, add $216 EPS retrofit in my case.
There was no need to change the DSC, I was mistaken and ordered another one, but the problem was not in it. It turned out that the DSC sensor is different for cars with active steering. I took a sensor from an without AFS car, coded it on a new DSC and everything worked perfectly.
The DSC sensor is located under the driver's seat.
Everywhere on the forums it is written that the module must be flashed with software without AFS, but it is absolutely the same in number.
If necessary I can check if I keep it on the laptop.
But it can always be seen in realоем.

flash was successfull, i have error from the sensor of afs
