Idrive Service history help? - 330d - 13-05-2024

Recently I got my G05 X5 oil change done at a independent BMW garage who claimed he was able to update the service history on idrive and also the BMW servers.

So on idrive, the entry for the oil service is at the bottom of the list. Not at the top which is what it should be.

I assumed he has done the HU only and not the BMW servers. So I got the service history info from the other thread and it does indeed show that entry.

But it looks different to the official BMW entries as it does not show the date it was done but does show what was changed.

Also the boxes have ticks but are grey. Whereas the BMW entries have green boxes and tick.

What has the garage done wrong here?

1. IDK why it's at the bottom. I think I've seen them jumping into order after some time.
2. Those are grey because they identified the car and entered service data manually instead of reading the key. That is perfectly ok, just less information. And does not look that nice. If you want them green maybe you should find another independent garage next time. Which is not that sorry for couple hundred of pounds to buy a key reader... It's the only one time cost for them to make nice green entries.

that entry has got a date 03/05/2024 at 57211miles.

entries should be in order, you can send an entry to car straight from KASIO.

grey colour means its done manuall, like Node says, nothing wrong with that

BTW you need to contact a dealer to replace EGR cooler free of charge as that car has mandatory service action.

Thanks mate. Any idea when it can jump up to the correct order? Or could it be absolutely anytime or possibly never?

Forgive me for being thick but where are you seeing this date and mileage? I can't see it in the PDF service history that I uploaded.

RE: Idrive Service history help? - Node - 13-05-2024

You can't see in pdf, because it's under the header of the page... Really impossible to make nice pdfs in Kasio, there are chunks missing over page breaks. But I have checked I can confirm that to be the truth.

Wait couple of days. Maybe your car will resync with BMW servers during that time and fix the order.

P.S. I have sent you a link privately to another pdf which is scaled to fit into a single page. If you zoom on the computer, you will see smile

Thanks, you have been very helpful, appreciate it.

It has been over a week since it was done, so hopefully it sort itself out.

Actually the car is going into BMW main dealer on Wednesday for some warranty work, hopefully that will trigger it to sort itself.

I've attached a photo from idrive showing the entry. Should it have a workshop code from the garage? Or is that for official BMW main dealers only?

RE: Idrive Service history help? - Node - 14-05-2024

That is for official dealers only. AOS people will have 00000 there which may be hidden.

RE: Idrive Service history help? - 330d - 17-05-2024

Update - car went into BMW dealership and it made no difference, the list did not sort out.

But today I went back to the garage for additional work, they added a new entry which went to the top. Even better, the entry from last week is now in order.

Thank you for your help, all sorted now.
