(SOLVED) Problems with ISTA-P, yellow icon for ICOM - SweetBMW - 25-08-2015

Hello.

I just recenty completed my new install of ISPI NEXT ISTA-P using the loader 4.3.
I have it working on my laptop but this is a new install on a server running Win 2008 Server Standard R2.

ISTA D working great but when i start ISTA-P i get to differenet errors depending on unknown variables.

First error: I can start ista, i can start a new session, but when i get to the connection manager to select ICOM, it is shown as Yellow (Connected) and i cant select it.

It is an ICOM A1 clone with latest software, this is working fine on laptop.

SOLVED! under
The other error i get is that "no server on which ISTAP can be started was found. This i have no idea why im getting.

Applied the reg file again and it solved it for some reason, now its just the first problem.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? =)ยจ

ISTA P version is 3.56.1.002

Thanks.

SOLVED:

Error was in ICOM settings under icomip:58000. It was set to ISPI mode, not ISPI next, and APIPA. For using through a router and server, you need to set it to ISPI NEXT mode and DHCP smile

Works like a charm!

WLAN off switch.
Firewall and virus program switch.
Ethernet perform diagnostics.
Check IP with IPCONFIG / all

RE: Problems with ISTA-P, no server found - SweetBMW - 25-08-2015

I never had a WLAN card in the server... its connected to a router, and then to the icom.
This works on my laptop but not on my server. I have solved the issue with "no server can be found", now its only the problem with the yellow icon for the ICOM..... :\

I think problem related to the loader.
If you use Itool Radar, you will see that your ICOM is reserved during the loading.

Try this;
1) Different version of the loader.
2) Turn on / connect ICOM after loading ISTA-P is done.
3) Make sure that ICOM is configured as ISPI NEXT ( => http://192.168.1.95:58000/)

Did not work. Tried older loader and no firewall. No change. Still not able to connect to the icom. Only yellow icon

RE: Problems with ISTA-P, yellow icon for ICOM - cm048 - 28-08-2015

I had this problem before with loader 4.3.

Yellow = ICOM in reserved state.
If you use web access to ICOM, and manually release ICOM, you get an error right ?

To bring ICOM back to released state, you might need to reboot ICOM.
Need to pay attention in ICOM state. Make sure that it is in released state before
you start ISTA-P or try other loader.

Switched to loader 3.2 made problem disappeared for me.
The strange thing is that once it worked, loader 4.3 also works.
Pls make sure that ICOM is configured as ISPI-NEXT

Pls also try to start ISTA-P without loader (you will get error).
Then use the loader with second start.

Workaround is to Turn on / connect ICOM after you start ISTA-P.

Unlikely to be related to the loader. Never seen the problem you describe with any version.
