E60 Brake CBS reset mileage problem

E60 Brake CBS reset mileage problem
Some things are supposed to be as simple as 1,2,3 but not this timesweating

I replaced brake pads and sensors and reset CBS with ISTA. Front read 40000km to go but rear reads 7000km to go! So went to CBS correction and corrected rear to 40000km successfully!! BUT THEN THE FRONT PADS ASSUMED 7000KM TO GO MAGICALLY!

Corrected the front to 40000 and rear went back to 7000km! Crazy. It is as if the DSC is working with accumulative distance of 47000km max front and back and wont accept combined mileage above that? Tried 30000km and whichever axle I corrected, the other went back to the annoying 7000km to go


Flashed the DSC60 with winkfp as there was no update of its zusb, then coded DSC to default, same problem. Anyone with ideas?

I had a similar issue on my F10 but istap had a correction function. There is none for Eseries cars

For Exx:
Autologic have a direct function on the BlueBox
ISTA/P has it in conversions or something.
ISTA/P takes much longer than Autologic.

KNOWN ISSUE: ISTA-P > vehicle tab > retrofit > CBS correction

His will not take reset properly, need to do retro, as long as brake sensor not shorted

ISTAD is what I was using. Failed miserable

Could not use ISTAP at that time and I thought I had looked this up in an E90 before. will have a go at iot again. Thanks

Might be worth just resetting it through the physical odometer button on the cluster.

The E60 brake reset is often hit and miss and takes a few goes.

You know! Got so used to using ISTA I don't have an idea how to use the cluster but I guess ill try that too
