Kess Patch needed
I,m working on a 3C passat, Used Kess Master to take a dump from the ecu for EGR removal etc. In the process of loading correct vehicle etc, a popup appeared saying that some vehicles in the later half of 2009 had been locked by yhe manufacturer which could harm the ecu if I tried to load a modified bin file. I have the new map from Chad Remapping now, so whats this patch and do I need it. vin of the vehicle is as follows.
wvwzzz3cz8p130444. 103kw CBAB engine. I,ll leave it as is untill I find out more. Many thanx Trevvy |

It is warning you that this edc17 probably have higher version of tprot and that you can easily brick it using OBD. I suggest you leave it as it is and pay someone who knows how to do job properly and safely as there is very high chance that you will screw this one...
